Description

JUDAEA. Late Roman period, circa AD 300-500. Glass menorah amulet. A glass pendant made of aquamarine glass featuring a seven-branched menorah, flanked by two palm branches (or lulavs), with a suspension loop. Remarkably well-preserved, with luminous iridescence areas of light mineralized encrustation. See British Museum Collection number 1983, 1108.61 for a very similar example.
