Description

U.S. Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver. Serial no. 79494 (all matching including wedge), .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel. Inspector's initial D near the breech and on the back of the cylinder. Blued and case-hardened finish. Brass guard and fore strap. Varnished walnut grips with sharp cartouches.

Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 60-70% original blue with scattered staining and patches of fine pitting. Safety stops are excellent. Tool marks around wedge and on barrel. Vibrant case colors on frame and hammer. Mellow patina to brass. Grips fine. Dents on the butt. Small chip bottom of left grip panel. Action tight. Bright bore with some wear and patches of fine pitting.
