Description
Sharps Breech-Loading Single-Shot Pistol.Serial no. 103, .34 caliber, 5-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and lever. Left side of frame marked: SHARP'S PATENT / ARMS MFED / FAIR MOUNT / PHILA PA. in an oval. Smooth hardwood grip panels. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 3250 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 30-40% finish, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to grips. Action crisp. Moderately pitted bore.
