English Flintlock Horse Pistol by Smith. .74 caliber, 7 1/4-inch barrel with brass post front sight and coined edge and gold-inlaid bands at breech. Top flat marked: London. Finely made flintlock mechanism with roller frizzen and sliding safety. Lock marked: Smith. Vacant diamond-shaped silver wrist escutcheon. Engraved upper tang and steel furniture. Steel oval wedge escutcheons. Swivel ramrod. Varnished walnut stock with checkered grip. Condition: Good. Metal with grey patina and minor pitting. Stock with chip adjacent lower edge of lock.
