Description
Webley-Fosbery Army / Navy Single Revolver.Serial no. 878, .455 Cordite caliber, 6-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Left side of frame marked: WEBLEY FOSBERY AUTOMATIC. Top of barrel marked: ARMY & NAVY C.S.L. Checkered hardwood grip panels. Lanyard ring. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 1818 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 70-80% finish, with thinning to relief edges, gripstraps, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings to grips. Action needs adjustment. Strong bore.
