Description
U.S. Colt Third Model Dragoon Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 12112 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .44 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal and round barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY. Left side of frame marked: COLTS / PATENT / U.S. Brass triggerguard and gripstraps. Walnut one-piece grip, PWP stamped to right side. Manufactured in 1852.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable age, handling wear and pitting. Some case colors remaining. Areas of olive toning to brass. Scuffs and dings present to grip. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
