U.S. Colt Model 1851 Percussion Revolver.

Serial no. 90895 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt] and [0895 on loading lever], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel marked - ADDRESS SAML COLT HARTFORD CT -. Originally blued and case-hardened finish. COLT'S / PATENT / U.S. to left side of frame. Iron triggerguard and backstrap. Oil-finished walnut one-piece grip. Bottom of grip framed stamped [N S or S N]. Gun was manufactured in 1859.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina with noticeable areas of age, handling wear and pitting. Signs of cleaning, as well. Heavy, dings, scuffs and bruising present to wood. Loss to base to right and left side. Wedge tight. Action ok. Moderately pitted bore.
