Inspector's L on cylinder and frame. First model latch configuration. Right side of frame marked: SCHOFIELD'S PAT. Left side of frame with standard Schofield address and patent dates.
Condition: Fair to good. Retaining traces of blue in protected areas, the balance a mottled gray-brown patina with scattered patches of staining and pitting. Frame screws marred. Right side of frame with signs of having been cleaned. Serial numbers at butt and cylinder not completely legible. Lanyard hole has gone through at least one of the serial number digits) Inside of right grip panel and both sides of frame have crudely scratched set of numbers, possibly previous owner's license number. Grips are fair to good with age wear, soiling and worm holes. Left grip panel darker than the right. Action very good. Ejector mechanism needs slight adjustment. Bore is good. Bright with scattered patches of fine pitting.
