Scarce 6-inch Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, no Loading Lever.

Serial 124969, [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .31 caliber, 6-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front bead sight. Top of frame stamped ADDRESS SAML COLT / NEW YORK CITY. Blued finish. Stagecoach Holdup roll engraved cylinder scene. Brass triggerguard and backstrap with traces of silver plating. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Wedge stamped 24969. Rare 6-inch barrel with no loading lever present. Manufactured in 1856.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth dark patina, with noticeable areas of handling wear and patches of pitting concentrating to the muzzle and barrel area. Minor scuffs and dings present to grip. Action good. Bore ok.
