Remington New Model Navy Percussion Revolver.
Serial no. 30691(barrel and grip frame), .36 percussion caliber, 7 3/8-inch octagonal barrel. Left side of barrel flat marked: B KITTREDGE & CO. Top of barrel with standard factory address: PATENTED SEPT. 14, 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION. NY U.S.A./ NEW-MODEL. Blued finish. Case-hardened low spur hammer. Inspector's marks MB to left side of brass grigger guard. Inspector's H to back of cylinder. Varnished walnut grips. One grip panel pencil-numbered 91. 28,000 manufactured 1863-1878. Less than 6,000 of these went to the commercial market.

Condition: Good to very good. The finish is a very mottled thin, gray-brown patina. Cylinder pin is a replacement. Action is crisp and tight. Grips retaining most of an old re-varnish. Bore is very good with light pitting.
