Description

Remington New Model Army Percussion Revolver. Serial no. 112189, .44 caliber, 8-inch octagonal barrel with New York address and marked, "NEW MODEL." Blued finish. Brass triggerguard. Varnished walnut grips. Inspector's mark "W" observed on frame and guard. Condition. Fair to good. Traces of blue remain in protected areas. The balance is a mottled gray-brown patina with patches of fine and moderate pitting. Cylinder a steel-gray patina, possibly cleaned. Brass with mellow age patina. Right grip panel a likely replacement and proud to frame. Action is tight.
