Description
Remington Model 1890 Single Action Revolver. First year of production. Serial no 281. .44 caliber, 5 ¾-inch barrel with address marked: Remington Arms Co. Ilion, N.Y. Left side of frame marked, .44 C.F.W. Checkered hard rubber grips. Lanyard ring. Inside of each grip panel are carved initials: J.H.J. Only 2,000 of this model were manufactured between 1891 and 1896. Condition: Very good as refinished. Retaining approximately 95-98% of a re-done blue. Light silvering at muzzle, inside triggerguard and behind hammer. Patches of pitting below finish on cylinder and frame. Grips fine. Chip to base of right grip panel. Action crisp.Auction Info
