Description

Rare Factory-Cased Colt M1860 Fluted Cylinder .44 Caliber Percussion Revolver, serial #3947 matching, produced in early 1861. The gun is sharp and crisp although retaining no original finish. Crisp action, excellent bore, fine markings. Grips excellent retaining much original varnish with just one small chip at the base on one side, minor. Overall a very attractive gun. Housed in the original factory, velvet lined compartmented walnut case with brass shield-shaped escutcheon on lid, excellent. Just showing some honest wear commensurate with the gun. Casing includes original flask, bullet mould, pack of combustible cartridges, caps in tin, and bullets with all accessories in excellent condition. A very nice example of this extremely scarce factory-cased Colt revolver. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
