Rare and Early Colt Percussion Pocket Navy Revolver.

Serial no. 2038 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .36 caliber, 4 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front bead sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. COLTS / PATENT to left side of frame. Etched cylinder scene. Brass gripstraps. The initials R.L. stippled to left side of frame and grip. Smooth walnut one-piece grip with numerous notches.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 10-20% finish, the balance a dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action tight, but functions. Lightly pitted bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
