Description
Highly Custom Embellished Colt Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. [not visible] , 7 1/2-inch barrel with clamshell-style elevated front sight, .44-40 caliber. Embellished throughout in a silver plating pattern, highly relief floral scrollwork adorns the complete revolver, including a horse and horseshoe embossed motif on the bottom of the grips. Left side of barrel custom marked .44 COLTS. U.S.A. Eagle and snake motif on backstrap with empty framed round escutcheon. Authentic looking cast metal and silver plated grips in the Tiffany grip style. Textured hammer rest. No surface left unattended, 100% embellished. Overall an impressive Single Action Army revolver worthy of casing. Manufactured in 1886, customized at a later date.
Conditon: Fine as customized. Retains most applied finish with thinning areas. Fine scratches overall, expected for such finish. Action good, bore good.
