Serial number 48234. .31 caliber, 5-shot cylinder with stagecoach holdup roll scene. 3-inch octagon barrel with brass pin front sight. Top of barrel stamped:
Address Saml. Colt
New-York City
within brackets. Left side of frame stamped "Colts/Patent." Blued, with case-hardened frame and hammer, with silver-plated brass gripstraps. The grips of varnished walnut.

Condition Report*: Excellent. Cylinder scene and all markings sharp. Luminous color case hardening, 99% blue and 100% varnish. Unfired. The exceptional condition of this revolver makes it one of the most desirable examples of the Wells Fargo Model of Colt percussion handguns.
