Exceptional Boxed Pre-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver.
Serial no. 354707, 5 1/2-inch barrel, .45 caliber. Blued finish with vibrant case-hardened frame and hammer. Standard Hartford top of barrel address. Left side marked COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 45. Two-line patent address and Rampant Colt on left side of frame. Checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt embossed. Gun is accompanied by its original highly desirable Colt black box numbered in pencil to the gun with Shooting Suggestions pamphlet and cleaning rod. End label reads 5 1/2 COLT'S ARMY S.A. REVOLVER. .45 / RUBBER BLUE. Factory letter included states current configuration and being shipped to William McCallister & Sons in 1931 [Address-Unavailable] as a shipment of one [1]. Flayderman's Guide states "A legendary American gun. Contracted and issued in large quantities by the U.S. Army during the Indian Wars; widely carried in the Golden Days of the Old West by the most illustrious of lawmen and notorious of outlaws. A.k.a. The Peacemaker" This gun was manufactured in 1931 and considered a Late Smokeless Powder SAA.

Condition: As New, showing absolutely no use or wear since issued and completely original with both grips and cylinder numbered to gun. Perfect bore. Box is in fine to excellent condition for its age, a few separations to the lid corners and overall corners, also some scuffs to edges. Label is excellent. Inside with normal age wear. The finest condition Pre-War Colt Single Action Army ever offered for sale at Heritage Auctions.
