Description
Engraved Remington 1875 Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 864 [frame under grips], .44 caliber, 5 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. Top of barrel marked: E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y. U.S.A. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver, barrel, triggerguard and backstrap [engraving is contemporary]. Checkered walnut grip panels. Lanyard eye.
Condition: Excellent as configured when engraved and refinished. Overall showing light handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Few scuffs and dings present to wood [replacements]. Action crisp. Moderately pitted bore.
