Description
Engraved Colt Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. 21897 [frame, triggerguard and butt], .45 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. Two-line, two-date patent. Elaborate engraving throughout. Carved eagle and serpent to left grip panel. Manufactured in 1875.
Condition: Very good to excellent as partially refinished. Retaining approximately 90-94% finish with scattered signs of thinning, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Action crisp. Lightly pitted bore.
