E. Whitney Second Model Navy Percussion Revolver. Serial no. 1383, .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel, the top flat marked: E. Whitney/N. Haven. Case-hardened hammer, lever and frame. Lever latch a later replacement. 6-shot cylinder. Brass triggerguard. Varnished walnut grips. Condition: Fair as configured. Metal showing a mottled grey-brown age patina with scattered spots of light pitting and surface rust. Lever latch a later gunsmith replacement. Cylinder appears to have been cleaned, showing a grey patina. Grips with heavy wear, chips and dents overall. Action good.Auction Info
