Description
Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. SA33716 [frame], .44 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. Top of barrel marked: COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. Two-line, three-date patent and Rampant Colt logo to left side of frame. Smooth walnut grip panels. Manufactured in 1980. Sold along with receipt from Henry Tindall Guns (San Antonio, TX), dated April 8, 1981. The Third Generation of the Colt SAA was produced starting in 1976, following the First Generation (1873-1941) and the Second Generation (1956-1974).
Condition: Very good to excellent. Overall showing very light handling wear. Crisp action. Strong bore. From the Collection of James Schubert.
