Colt Model 1862 New Police Percussion Revolver.

Serial no. 22413 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt], .36 caliber, 5 1/2-inch round barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel one-line reads ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Blued and case-hardened finish. COLTS / PATENT stamped to left side of frame. 36 CAL marking to left side of triggerguard near frame. Brass triggerguard and backstrap. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1863.

Condition: Very good to fine. Finish retains approximately 10-20% bluing, a good 50-60% case-hardening to frame and loading lever with the overall balance showing; handling wear, age and a few spots of pitting. 90% plus varnish on grips, with minor wear. Some marring to screws. Light dings and scuffs present to wood mostly towards the heel area. Action functions. Good bore. From the Collection of Oran B. Jolley.
