Description

Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver.

Serial no. 48906 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt] and 8906 [cylinder], .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. COLT'S / PATENT to left side of frame. Brass triggerguard. Smooth walnut one-piece grip, with faint cartouche to right side. Manufactured in 1862.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear, age and pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore. The Bill Bentham Collection.
