Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver.

Serial no. 17704 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt] and 21192 [cylinder], .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Left side of frame stamped: COLT'S / PATENT. O inspector mark at each original serial number. Brass triggerguard. One-piece walnut grip. 4 screw, cut for shoulder stock. This particular example was manufactured in 1863.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth, dark grey patina with noticeable signs of age, handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy dings and bruising to wood, with some loss to base. Large crack and repair to left side of grip. Action needs adjustment, broken. Moderately pitted bore.
