Description
Colt Model 1851 Navy Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 171849 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. COLT's / PATENT stamped to left side of frame, .36 CAL. to triggerbow. Brass gripstraps. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1863.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth to dark grey patina with scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
