Description
Colt Model 1849 Pocket Percussion Revolver.Serial no. 144612 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt] and 92198 [wedge], .31 caliber, 6-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS SAML COLT / NEW YORK CITY. COLT'S / PATENT to left side of frame. Etched cylinder scene. Brass gripstraps. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1858.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with honest signs of age, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Wedge is loose. Action functions. Lightly pitted bore.
