Description
Colt Frontier Six Shooter 'Peacemaker Centennial' Single Action Revolver with Extra Barrel.Serial no. 978PC [frame, triggerguard and butt], .44 C.F. caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. The right side of the barrel of this commemorative is marked: 1873 PEACEMAKER CENTENNIAL 1973. Two-line, two-date patent to left side of frame. Checkered hard rubber grip panels with carved E. PLURIBUS UNUM eagle crest and Rampant Colt logo. Sold along with nickel-plated barrel, 7 1/2-inch, right side marked: 1873 PEACEMAKER CENTENNIAL 1973. Left side etched: COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER.
Condition: Very good. Overall showing very light handling wear, with some fine spots of pitting to left side of barrel. Crisp action. Bright bore. From the Collection of James Schubert.
