Description
Cattle Brand Engraved Colt Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 72057 [frame, triggerguard and butt], .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. Elaborately scroll and cattle brand engraved. Mother-of-pearl grip panels. Manufactured in 1881. Great looking gun and branding, similar to those of Cole Agee, Master Engraver. Similar examples featured in the book titled COLT AGEE / TEXAS ENGRAVER.
Condition: Very good to excellent as refinished. Overall showing light handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to grips. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
