Description
Cased Smith & Wesson First Model Third Issue Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 25302, .22 caliber, 3 1/4-inch ribbed barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Elaborately scroll engraved frame, barrel and cylinder. Spur trigger. Smooth bone bird's head grip panels. Contained in wooden display case with fitted green felt interior. Property of a West Texas collector.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey age patina with noticeable wear and pitting. Heavy loss to right grip panel. Action good. Moderately pitted bore. Wood loss to left side of top lip.
