Cased Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver.
Serial no. 194710, .31 caliber, 6-shot cylinder, 6-inch octagonal barrel with One Line New York address. Blued and case-hardened finish with silver-plated triggerguard and grip straps. All serial numbers match including wedge, arbor and rammer. Manufactured 1860. Inspector's initial B on rear of cylinder. Varnished walnut grips. Contained in partitioned and green-baise lined varnished hardwood case with 4 3/4-inch brass Eagle powder flask (see Riling #775 ) Eley cap tin, reproduction box of Colt cartridges and 2-cavity .31 caliber Colt bullet mold. Key present.

Condition: Fine. Barrel and cylinder retaining approximately 45-55% deep blue finish, the balance fading to gray with scattered fine scratches. Cylinder shows almost no sign of having been fired. Loading lever, hammer and frame still with generous amounts of vibrant case colors. Triggerguard and gripstraps retaining approximately 30-40% silver plate, the balance a mellow age patina. Case is fine as re-finished and re-configured. Round key escutcheon. Key does not function. Bullet mold fair to good. Bare metal with patches of pitting and frosting. Powder flask fine with light scratches and small dents. Seams are intact.
