Description
Cased and Engraved Colt Pocket Model 1849 Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 46918 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .31 caliber, 4-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front bead sight. Blued and silver-plated finish. Elaborately scroll engraved. Etched battle scene to cylinder. Finely figured walnut one-piece grip. Contained in wooden display case with brown felt lining. Sold along with flask, bullet mold, nipple wrench, key and tin with caps.
Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 30-40% bluing, with noticeable thinning to relief edges, the balance a smooth grey with normal handling wear and patches of pitting. Some brass starting to show through silver-plating. Few minor dings to grip. Action crisp. Strong bore. Normal light storage wear to case.
