Cased and Engraved Colt Model 1849 Pocket Single Action Revolver.

Serial no. 67507 [dot] [barrel, frame, triggerguard, butt and cylinder] wedge not removed; .31 caliber, 6-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front bead sight [worn] and marked SAM COLT. COLTS PATENT to left side of frame. [C] stamping on triggerguard, forward of trigger. Elaborately scroll engraved barrel, lever, frame, hammer, triggerguard and backstrap; cylinder too worn to notice engraving, if any. Engraving has some similarities and features to factory work; although not confirmed. Carved grip panels with an Asian dragon motif on both sides. Gun manufactured in 1853. Contained in associated purple velour-lined fitted case [contemporary]; along with modern UMC primers, period powder flask and two-cavity brass mold marked COLT'S / PATENT / E.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a grey patina with scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Some over stamping noticed on frame and barrel numbers. Grips a bit wobbly with age wear, shrinkage and discoloration. Action good. Moderately pitted bore. Case and accessories in good condition, moderate handling and wear present.
