Description
Boxed Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. SA12678 [frame], .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Colt address to top of barrel. Two-line, three-date patent and Rampant Colt to left side of frame. Rampant Colt / E. Pluribus Unum Eagle checkered grip panels. Manufactured in 1978. Contained in original factory pasteboard box with foam inserts and literature. Sold along with receipt from Henry Tindall Guns (San Antonio, TX), dated March 25, 1981.
Colt began production of the Third Generation SAA in 1976 after discontinuing the Second Generation SAA in 1974.
Condition: Excellent. Overall showing very light handling wear. Crisp action. Bright bore. Noticeable storage wear present to box. From the Collection of James Schubert.
