Alvin White Engraved Colt Single Action Army Revolver.
Serial no. 99580SA (AMWH1996), .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel. Fine scroll-engraving throughout and accented with various gold inlays including: Sharps carbine, S&W revolvers, Whitney-Kennedy carbine, Remington derringer, Colt SAA and side by side shotgun. All original Colt markings inlaid in gold. Blued and case-hardened finish. Left side of barrel marked: GUNS OF THE WILD WEST AUTRY MUSEUM GALA REVOLVER. Barrel, frame and cylinder all profusely floral engraved in 19th Century New York style. Complementing the engraving is a silver inlaid flintlock rifle. Four-fluted six-shot cylinder decorated with tooled gun belt and the iconic Winchester rider, the symbol of the Autry museum. Recoil shield decorated with gold bust of Wild Bill Hickok over a gold Colt 1851 Navy revolver. Right side of frame showing a gold Stevens target pistol. Backstrap with gold inlaid SAM'L COLT and ''O.F. WINCHESTER. Buttstrap gold engraved: W.F.& CO. Hammer, trigger, cylinder pin and ejector rod are all gold plated. Ejector rod housing nicely decorated with inlaid gold loop border around subtle cross-hatching. Beautiful niter-blue screws. Sold without grip panels. Contained in Colt Factory blue-lined walnut case with key.
