From the King's Arsenal - Two Revolvers Owned by Elvis Presley

[Elvis Presley]. Cased Set of Elaborately Engraved Ruger Blackhawk and Smith & Wesson Revolvers Belonging to Elvis Presley with Provenance.
Comprising:

1.) Sturm Ruger Flattop Blackhawk Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 15, .44 Magnum caliber, 6 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and micrometer adjust rear sight. Blued finish. Extensively full leaf and scroll engraved, outlined with gold and silver inlays. Floral and game scene carved grip panels.

2.) Smith & Wesson Model 36-1 Double Action Revolver. Serial no. 457360, .38 caliber, 3-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Extensively full leaf and scroll engraved, with gold and silver accents. Also features five gold inlaid game animals. Floral and game carved grip panels.

Each contained in a wooden fitted display case with red felt lining, keys included. Elvis Presley guitar logo to the inside of the lid. The engraver of each revolver was Frederick Wilhelm Heym Company of Germany.

Condition: Crisp actions and bright bores. Excellent.

Provenance:
1.) Letter of authenticity from ELVIS-A-RAMA signed by Chris Davidson. Confirms the specifics of the firearm and states that it was used by Elvis in the late 50's and 60's.
2.) Letter of authenticity from ELVIS-A-RAMA signed by Chris Davidson. Confirms the specifics of the firearm and states that it was used by Elvis in the late 60's and early 70's.

Note: This lot is accompanied by two letters of authenticity, signed by Chris Davidson of the Elvis-A-Rama Museum, who describes the provenance of the Ruger Flattop Blackhawk, "this weapon was used by Elvis for over a decade before giving it to his father, Vernon Presley in the early 70s. The gun was obtained from Sid Doan's estate, who purchased the gun directly from the estate of Vernon Presley in the early 1980s." Davidson describes the provenance of the Smith & Wesson Model 36-1, "this weapon was used by Elvis for several years before giving it to his father, Vernon Presley in the mid 70s. The gun was obtained from Sid Doan's estate, who purchased the gun directly from the estate of Vernon Presley in the early 1980s."
