Description
German Mauser Broomhandle C96 Semi-Automatic Pistol.Serial no. 404152 [frame], 7.65mm caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and an adjustable rear sight. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF. Right side of frame stamped: WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A NECKAR. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Grooved walnut grip panels. Lanyard ring. Its nickname comes from its unique, broomstick-shaped wooden grip, and its design represents the transition from 19th-century revolvers to modern automatic pistols.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with noticeable areas of thinning, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood, some smooth checkering to right panel. Action good. Strong bore. Tom Mixon Collection
