German BYF 42 Code Luger P.08 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Leather Holster.Serial no. 6408 [all matching], 9mm caliber, 4-inch barrel with dovetail front sight and fixed rear sight. Blued finish. Toggle marked: byf, breech: 42. Various German proof marks. Checkered walnut grip panels. Lanyard ring. Aluminum based magazine numbered 5720. Contained in unmarked leather holster with wood-based aluminum magazine, numbered 5559.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 40-50% finish with noticeable areas of thinning, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action crisp. Lightly pitted bore. Leather showing honest storage wear.
