Description
Boxed and Customized Colt Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol.Serial no. 284908-C, .45 caliber, 5-inch barrel with Giles .45 Shop custom full-solid rib (extended 1 3/8-inch), fixed front sight and micrometer adjust rear sight. Blued finish. Checkered rubber Pachmayr grip panels. Textured backstrap. Grip safety. Contained in factory pasteboard box with literature. Manufactured in 1959.
Note: The Giles .45 Shop is arguably one of the most famous .45 custom shops.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 92-94% with some thinning to relief edges, scattered handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Action crisp. Bright bore. Box displaying honest storage wear. Groove has been cut out of lid and base to accommodate custom rib.
