Portuguese Model P08 1942 byf Code Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster.Serial no. 671 m, 9mm, 4-inch barrel with dovetailed front sight. Blued action and barrel. Blued trigger, takedown latch and safety. Knurled toggle marked: byf. Chamber marked: 42. Wide trigger. Extractor marked: GELADEN. Frame marked: P.08. Checkered composition grips. Unserialized blued magazine with aluminum base. Brown leather holster with cleaning rod and combination tool. Note: The last 5000 byf 42 pistols were sold to Portugal when the P38 became standard issue. Condition: Fine, as possibly refinished: Frame, barrel and toggle shows 94-96% bluing with wear to edges and sideplate. Very good bore with frosting. Excellent grips. Holster in excellent condition with a few light marks to the leather. From the Collection of Douglas Smith, offered without consignor reserve.
