Unique Continental Wheel Lock Revolver. .35 caliber, 11 1/2-inch barrel with cannon muzzle. Maker's hallmark on right side of barrel lug [cross-hatched shield with scalloped top, overlaid with capital letter H ]. Left side of barrel lug and lock appear to have been stamped with a winged bird or eagle. 6-shot cylinder with lathed lines to exterior. Sliding pan cover. Upper tang and wheel lock stamped with similar hallmarks. No flint. No spanner. Varnished walnut stock with steel furniture. Possibly an experimental firearm. Condition: Fair to good. Metal with mottled grey-brown age patina and scattered light pitting. Marred screws. Wood with wear, minor dents and bruises. Action fair.
