Description
Pair of Engraved Howdah Percussion Double Barrel Pistols by Alex Henry.Unserialized, .36 caliber, 8-inch barrels with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Tops of barrels marked: A. HENRY EDINBURGH PATENT NO. 2973. Elaborately scroll engraved coin-finished receivers, under-levers, hammers and upper tangs. Checkered hardwood stocks and fore-ends. Lanyard eyes.
Condition: Very good. Finishes primarily a dull grey patina with areas of thinning, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood, loss to one fore-end tip. Crisp actions. Strong bores.
