Comprising; 1) Replica Texas Ranger Badge. Gold color badge marked CLINT PEOPLES / SR, CAPT. / TEXAS RANGERS by HALTHOM [marked on the back]. The letters highlighted with black paint and enhanced with additional floral accents. 2) Chief Deputy Constable Badge. Badge marked C. PEOPLES / CHIEF DEPUTY CONSTABLE / MONTGOMERY CO. / STATE OF TEXAS [star] by Blackinton. The letters highlighted with black paint, eagle adorns the top of badge.

Clinton Thomas Peoples was born in Bridgeport, Texas, on August 25, 1910. During the Conroe oil boom, he served as a deputy sheriff, later becoming chief deputy. Governor Miriam "Ma" Ferguson appointed him as a Special Texas Ranger to oversee the state's four horse racing tracks.

In 1941, Peoples joined the Texas Department of Public Safety as a highway patrolman and became a Texas Ranger in 1946, assigned to Headquarters Company in Austin. He was promoted to Captain of Company F in 1953 and later handled high-profile cases involving Billie Sol Estes, the Maceo brothers, the La Grange Chicken Ranch, and George Parr.

In 1969, he became Senior Ranger Captain and transferred to Austin. After retiring in 1974, he was appointed U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Texas by President Nixon, serving for 14 years.
