Description
U.S. Martial Model 1816 Percussion Pistol by S. North.Unserialized, .54 caliber, 9 1/16-inch round barrel with fixed front sight. Lock marked S. NORTH / US / MIDLTN, CONN. surrounding an eagle crest. P / US proof to the left side of barrel. Smooth hardwood stock with wooden ramrod. Converted to percussion.
Condition: Fair as configured. Dark overall grey patina present with pitting over a applied blue finish. Converted from flintlock. Wood with numerous mars and dings, moderate crack to wrist and repairs. Marred and replaced screws. Ramrod a replacement. Action ok. Bore dark.
