Description
U.S. Aston Single Shot Percussion Pistol.Approximately .54 caliber, 8 1/2-inch round barrel with the breech marked: US/JH. Converted lock marked: US/ H ASTON and MID??/CONN/1850. Varnished hardwood stock with visible cartouches. Military-style ramrod, single brass barrel band. Blackened brass triggerguard. Brass backstrap and butt. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.
Condition: Fair to good. Heavy patches of pitting near muzzle, mid-barrel, breech and lock. Mellow patina to brass. Good wood with chip rear of lock plate. Action good.
