Single-Shot Pocket Pistol by H.E. Dimick. .41 caliber, 3-inch barrel, the top flat marked: H.E. Dimick. Floral engraved breech and tang. Hammer and lock scroll-engraved. German silver barrel wedge escutcheons and lower tang. Checkered walnut stock with German silver shield-shaped wrist escutcheon. These were obvious copies of the famous Philadelphia derringer by Henry Deringer, from which they obtained their generic name. Made in the 1850s and 60s. Condition: Good. Steel showing a grey patina with scattered light pitting present. Wood good, showing wear and losses to finish. Action very good.
