Description
Pair of English Percussion Pistols with Folding Bayonets.Approximately .50 calibers, 3 1/4-inch octagonal barrels. Top of barrel flats marked C.STRANGE HIGH WYCOMBE. Spring loaded folding bayonets. Proof marks present on both guns under barrels and frame. Screwbarrels. Light scroll engraving to boxlocks and muzzle. Finely checkered one-piece walnut grips with vacant diamond shape escutcheons. A fish icon and fish scales design are on both hammers.
Condition: Good to very good with a dark grey patina look overall. Guns and bayonets a bit loose. Grips with handling wear. One bayonet slightly bent. Triggerguard releases for bayonets working. Traces of casehardening to hammers. Mechanically sound. Bore dark.
