Description
Lot of Two Philadelphia Deringer Percussion Pistols.Comprising: 1.) Unserialized, .30 caliber, 4-inch octagonal to round barrel with fixed front and rear sight. Blued finish. Scroll engraved lock, hammer and upper tang. Lock marked: ANCION & CO. Smooth hardwood stock with badge style escutcheon to top of wrist. Engraved brass triggerguard. Silver-plated and engraved fore-end cap and hinged grip cap. 2.) Unserialized, .40 caliber, 2 1/2-inch octagonal to round barrel with fixed front and rear sight. Top of barrel marked: DERINGER / PHILADEL. Scroll engraved lock, hammer, upper tang and triggerguard. Checkered walnut stock.
Condition: Very good. Each showing honest handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Actions good. Lightly pitted bores.
