Description

Late 18th Century Iron Mounted British Flintlock Holster Pistol. 14" overall, with 9" octagonal, patent breech, .50 caliber, iron octagonal barrel marked "Wogdon London", and secured with two barrel keys. Silver blade front sight, engraved breech surface and barrel tang. Iron mounts include butt cap, trigger guard, ramrod pipes and iron washers under engraved lock screw heads. Flat lock plate with reinforced pan and sliding safety also marked "Wogdon". The walnut stock with horn forend cap and flat sided bag shaped grip. Overall excellent just showing some minor honest wear. Metal possibly very lightly hand cleaned long ago, with just some very minor scattered salt and peppering on a few areas of trigger guard and butt cap. Very nice gun.
