Large Tanegashima Japanese Matchlock Pistol.

Of typical form, full etched-stamped Yatsumune-style 10-inch barrel with silver and brass elements built into the floral design with front and semi-rear sights, ending in an alternating round and flat facet muzzle. Smooth lacquered hardwood stock and forearm with with elegant inlays, simple lock brass mechanism, overall with a distinct wood-and-metal craftsmanship. Ramrod present. Overall length is 17 1/2-inches.

Condition: Fine. Finish primarily a mellow patina overall with minor handling wear. Fine marks to barrel edges. Fine scratches, light loss to lacquer, minor inlay loss. Action ok, bore dark.
