Description

Large Early 19th Century Brass Mounted American Flintlock Holster Pistol. 15" overall, 10" round .62 caliber smoothbore iron barrel, bearing a single American proofmark. Reinforced pan lock, nicely marked "Tryon". Brass mounts include trigger guard, ramrod pipes, and lock screw washers. Walnut stock with flat sided bag shaped grip, ramrod with brass cap and original iron worm. Overall excellent condition with just a few dents/scratches commensurate with age and honest use. While in original flintlock configuration, it appears the frizzen spring and screw have been replaced and the pan shows a minor repair. Another very scarce and extremely desirable American flintlock pistol.
